WHAT CLIENTS OF BLYTHE DESIGN CO HAVE TO SAY:

Earlier this year, we made a big move from Oakland to Inverness, a dream finally realized. With such a change in lifestyle, we knew we wanted a home to reflect the nature and beauty of our new surroundings. We found Blythe and visited her magical A-frame nearby.  We fell in love with her style & aesthetic, and knew we needed to bring her on to help us design the look and feel of our new home. Blythe did an amazing job in a very short period of time – (1) She is well connected to talented craftsmen, artists, boutiques, tradesmen, and carpenters.  It would have taken us ages to figure this out ourselves. (2) She’s on it. We built furniture, modified furniture, bought furniture, painted, added floors, countertops, tile, installed new lighting, and more. She and everyone on the team rallied and got the work done quickly and beautifully, and we couldn’t be happier with the finished results.  (3) She is a joy to work with. She is honest, really funny, collaborative, and always available. Highly recommended.

After over 15 years of personally managing  numerous residential and commercial projects i felt there was no way anyone could do it better than I could- but  I fell in love with Blythe’s Design through booking a stay for our family at her A -frame in Inverness. Serendipitously, I had just decided to complete a major renovation of the guest house on our property. For once, rather than do it myself and control the project I couldn’t let go of how much I felt drawn to her aesthetic.
After meeting with Blythe it was evident she held the key to the potential of this charming 1100 square foot structure.  In 3 short months she turned it from a charming cottage into an absolutely stylish and chic retreat. Her vision was spot on, her talent and intuition were always clear and cohesive.  Attention to budget, timeline and personal story were all treated with utmost respect and consideration every step of the way. The end result was so much more than I had ever imagined and, although it was the first project that I didn’t personally control the design for, somehow represents what I love -and am personally more connected to it than ever.
Anyone would be lucky to work with Blythe and experience her talent.
Thank you Blythe.

Choosing Blythe Design Co. for our home interior design experience was an easy decision.  In knowing Blythe, we trusted that her deep roots in art/design, nature and outdoors, and regard and emphasis on interpersonal communication, would attend to all the aspects we value in creating a comfortable and meaningful home space.  She did just that - with professional diligence and commitment no less!
Attending to our love of the beach and nature, her emphasis on bringing the outdoors in, with colors and textures that evoked comfort and bright energy in our foggy, beachy, sunset dwelling, we feel truly at peace in our home.  The cherry on top is that all of our guests express and feel the same. We are endlessly grateful for the choices and guidance that Blythe brought to helping us create our perfect family home.

Working with Blythe was a dream. She put her heart and soul into making our space the truest representation of what we wanted. Not only are her design ideas inspired and brilliant but  she did a fantastic job of managing the project from beginning to end. In working with Blythe I was particularly struck by the wellspring of creative and innovative ideas she had along with her ability to realize that vision. She was also so lovely to work with. We could feel her excitement and warmth throughout the project and you can see it reflected the design she created. Blythe is a true talent and I can’t wait for the opportunity to work with her again!

I couldn’t have been more impressed with how the restaurants felt when Blythe finished converting the old fish market on Mission St to a  beautiful bohemian oasis in the city. Not only did the colors, textures , decor, and personal touches shine through from daylight to candlelight, the overall vibe was perfect for our quaint restaurants in San Francisco. I spent many hours inside those walls, and I never once grew tired of how it looked, but mostly, how it felt. Customers often commented that they felt as if they were transported away as soon as they walked through our front doors. When we were looking to open a wine bar/eatery next door to our first space we knew Blythe would be the only one we would want to design it.  If you enjoy Blythe’s aesthetic, you will love what she will do to transform your space.
